Book Cover Task

My final front book cover for Stephen King's The Shining. I created a visual metaphor of the martini glass, the blood and the roque mallet (instead of an olive). As within this story the main character Jack Torrence is taken over by the spirit of the hotel and they use his alcohol problem to possess him. Jack often makes reference to Martinis being called martians. The blood represents the blood shed that happens towards the end of the book and the weapon Jack uses on his family (the roque mallet) is present instead of the olive too.
